FAQ

What to Wear:

Ballet/Pointe

  • Ballet/ Tap Combo or Ballet 1: Ballet outfit any color. Pink ballet slippers only.
  • Ballet 2 – 4 and all Pointe Classes: Black leotard only, pink tights and pink split sole ballet shoes.
  • Boys- Sweat pants, tank top or close-fitting shirt, black ballet slippers.
  • Hair- Must be pulled back away from face, and secure. Buns preferred for long hair.

Jazz

  • Girls- Close-fitting jazz pants or spandex shorts. If shorts are worn, tights must be worn underneath
  • Leotards or tight shirts, NO t-shirts.
  • Boys- Sweat pants or shorts, tank top or close-fitting shirt
  • Shoes- Black jazz shoes.
  • Hair- Must be pulled back away from face, and secure
  • Please no school clothing.

Tap

  • Attire- Wear clothes you can move and sweat in, instructors should be able to see your feet
  • NO jeans!
  • Shoes- Tap shoes required.
  • Hair- Must be pulled back away from face, and secure.

Pilates/ Yoga

  • Attire- Wear clothes you can move and sweat in.
  • Clothes should not be baggy; instructors need to be able to see your body
  • Hair- Must be pulled back away from face, and secure.

Hip Hop/ Break Dancing

  • Attire- Wear clothes you can move and sweat in. Bike gloves and knee pads are need for Break Dancing.
  • Clothes- Should not be too baggy, instructors need to be able to see your body.
  • Hair- Must be pulled back away from face, and secure.
  • Shoes- Sneakers okay, shoes MUST be free of dirt and grime.

Ballroom/ Salsa

  • Ladies- Pants or skirts (preferred). If shorts are worn, tights must be worn underneath.
  • Men- Pants or slacks, please no baggy clothing.
  • Shoes- Must have instructor approval, shoes MUST be free of dirt or grime.

Belly Dance

  • Attire- Wear clothes that you can move and sweat in instructor should be able to see midriff.
  • Shoes- Bare feet.

General Information

No jewelry, watches, or dangling earrings. Sweatshirts and legwarmers can be worn at the beginning of class.  These rules will be enforced, they are not suggestions.
